ski trip

In term 3 room7 went to the snow. we left school at 0500 hours and arrived at the snow at 0800 hours. we then got out and organised our equpement. we then had time to ski and board. the first time I got on I could not stop so I just fell on my bum. th we had lessons and ski time so when I was going down shane thrw a snow ball and hit me and I fell over andlost both of my skies. then we had to go home. the day was awesome!!!

Karapiro camp

In term 1 room 7 went to Karapiro for a camp. We stayed at rob wadell lodge. When we arrived we got our gear and put it in our rooms. Then we had to meet in the dining hall and get ready to explore the area around the lodge. 

Science fair

over the last five weeks room 7 has beening working on science fair boards. The best four will go to a waikato wide contest. Our bibles in schools teacher Mrs Graham came in to help us with the making of the boards. When we had finished the day had come. My partner and i did not make it to the big one

Kindy reading.

Last week room 7 walked down to the kindy and read to the little kids. I read brown bear brown bear what do you see. If we read books that were to long they would loose there focus.

Air wieghs somthing

Our focus this term is science. In room7 we have been doing expiriments, one of them was was about if air weighs some thing. The first experiment we did was by putting a popped ballon at one end of a make do scale  (a ruler attached to a string) and on the other end a balloon with air in it, it turned out the ballon with air in it was heavier. The second one was an air cannon ( a buckst with glad wrap on the open end and a hole at the other) then we hit the glad wrap and hey presto a cannon and something .We leararnt that matter is anything that takes up space and wieghs something. So if air weighs a lot we were wondering why we are not being flattened. We learned that is because we have pressure and it repels the air pressure around you so the pressure is equal.
